Packaging and Environmental Commitment
We have worked diligently to develop packaging that is robust enough to withstand international express delivery while being respectful of the environment.
Shipping and Carriers
We use a variety of carriers for our shipments and cannot guarantee that your preferred carrier will be used. Once you receive your tracking number, if you have any concerns about delivery, please contact the carrier handling your shipment. If the carrier is unable to assist, feel free to reach out to us at info@frantoi.org.
Christmas Delivery
We collaborate closely with our courier partners to ensure your olive oil reaches you in time for Christmas. To facilitate this, please provide a delivery address that can be accessed by a courier during standard office hours (09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday). If a delivery attempt is made before Christmas but no one is available to receive it, Frantoi cannot accept responsibility for the missed delivery.
In the event of extraordinary circumstances (such as natural disasters or severe weather), we will do everything within our power to ensure your delivery arrives as soon as possible. However, if circumstances are beyond our control, we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.
Handling and Storage of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a delicate product that should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. If the temperature drops below 6°C, the olive oil may solidify. If this occurs, simply move the oil to an area with an ambient temperature between 12-15°C, and it will return to its liquid state. For more information, please refer to our suggestions on how to store your olive oil.
Delivery Outside the EU & UK
For deliveries outside the EU & UK, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes levied upon arrival at the destination. Please note that the recipient is responsible for the payment of any such import duties and taxes. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.
Import Duties & Tariffs – US customers.
Unfortunately Starting 1 October 2025, new import tariffs will apply to all shipments entering the United States. This consists of a 15% import duty plus a fixed €15 handling fee per shipment. At checkout, these costs will appear together under the line “US Import Duties & Handling.” These charges are required by US customs regulations and are outside our control.
Should US tariff policies change in the future, we will make the necessary adjustments to our pricing, any order that was placed under the current tariff regime, and update this page accordingly.
Damaged Goods Upon Arrival
We take every possible measure to ensure your Olive Oil arrives in perfect condition. However, if any breakages occur during transit, please contact us immediately and provide photographs of the damage. We will carefully assess the situation and work with you to resolve the issue.
Returning a Package
As we are based in Italy, we understand that returning goods can be costly for our customers. For this reason, we do not accept returns. However, if you have any concerns or questions about your order, we encourage you to get in touch with us.
Unclaimed Packages
It is essential that you provide a delivery address where the courier can reach you during working hours, Monday through Friday. If you are unavailable, the courier will attempt re-delivery. If multiple delivery attempts are unsuccessful, Frantoi reserves the right to charge a handling fee to cover the costs of return shipping and courier administrative fees.
