How to include more Olive Oil in your daily diet
Research shows us that anything between 2-4 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in our daily diet is hugely beneficial to our overall health, especially in combination with other elements of the Mediterranean diet. If you’re typical olive oil consumption pattern is restricted to dressing salads, then perhaps it isn’t always obvious how to get more in to your diet, but It doesn’t have to be particularly complicated, it just requires a bit of re-programming. Here are a few basic hacks
- Replace butter with extra virgin olive oil: drizzle it over your bread it not only tastes incredible, it is cardio-protective. And don’t reserve this only for bruschetta – olive oil also tastes amazing on toast with bitter marmalade.
- Replace butter with extra virgin olive oil: glaze your vegetables with a top quality extra virgin olive oil and it raises the nutritional value of your vegetables.
- Replace butter with extra virgin olive oil: make your granola with olive oil, the combination of nuts, seeds, fruit and extra virgin olive oil gives you an incredible start to the day.
